Scope:
As Merchandising Assistant, you will support our buying team in procuring designer swimwear, resort wear, and accessories from new and existing vendors for our stores and website.
In this role, you will work closely with the Buyer and Planner to buy brands that drive category growth and profitability in stores and online.
The position requires a high level of detail orientation in creating and submitting purchase orders to vendors and analyzing sales performance.
It involves frequent communication with other members of the buying team as well as vendors, the distribution center, marketing, store operations, and the eCommerce team.

Responsibilities:
Assist buying team with day-to-day tasks and projects including but not limited to building orders, tracking samples, maintaining the sample room, entering data into the system, analyzing sales performance, and attending vendor appointments.
Create and enter orders in tandem with the Buyer Create related reports in Excel and/or PowerPoint for internal and external parties.
Obtain imagery (or samples to submit and prepare for our in-house photo shoots) and product information for the eCommerce website Track product deliveries and ensure issue-free receipt of goods Attend buying meetings (often via video, sometimes in person) to preview lines.
Take detailed notes and assist in order creation.
Follow all processes and procedures related to the end-to-end order to in-house delivery process.
Experience/Requirements Comfort with Microsoft Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint Desire to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented role Available to work outside regular business hours as needed Team player.
Desire to work within a team and apprenticeship environment and pitch in where needed Coursework, internship, or prior experience in retail or consumer goods a plus Core Competencies:
Attention to detail Solid communications skills Strong analytic skills Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once Physical Requirements:
