Are you passionate about construction and looking for an opportunity to lead and oversee multifamily construction projects? We are currently seeking a Permanent Construction Superintendent - Multifamily to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, from ground-up garden-style apartments to podium projects.
This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to supervise multiple projects concurrently.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multifamily construction, ground-up construction, garden-style apartments, stick frames, and wood-frame.
Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2.
Supervise on-site contractors and subcontractors and ensure all work is performed by plans and specifications.
3.
Coordinate and manage all on-site construction activities including scheduling, material procurement, and quality control.
4.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of safety among the crew.
5.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
6.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of work and adherence to project specifications.
7.
Prepare and submit project reports, including progress and budget reports, to stakeholders.
8.
Manage and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project deliverables.
Qualifications:
1.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2.
Proven experience in multifamily construction, ground-up construction, garden-style apartments, stick frame, and wood frame.
3.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
4.
Excellent leadership and project management skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of a large team.
5.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve construction-related issues promptly and effectively.
6.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7.
Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
8.
A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9.
Certification in Construction Health and Safety or a related certification would be an advantage.
10.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various construction sites.
